The Wandering Cork

Where to go. When to go. What to expect.

The map is open. The first pin is still yours to help place.

We are exploring possibilities for wine-country journeys built around shared interests, local stories and time to enjoy the place. These are ideas in development, not announced departures.

Help choose our first adventure

Where shall we go?

Our Cork Compass starts with a region, then offers destinations within it. Choose your first preference and, if you like, the place that most sparks your curiosity.

Europe

Champagne (Épernay), Rhône Valley, Mosel, Douro Valley and Tuscany.

Australia & New Zealand

McLaren Vale and Marlborough.

California

Napa Valley, Paso Robles, Mendocino County and Sonoma County.

Canada

Okanagan Valley and Niagara wine country.

South Africa

The Cape Winelands.

South America

Mendoza in Argentina and Colchagua Valley in Chile.

When shall we go?

Dates will come after the destination and experience take shape. We want to consider the season, the welcome available from local hosts and the pace that suits the group. There is no booking calendar yet.

What would make it special?

Meeting a maker, exploring a market, walking through a landscape, sharing a regional meal: tell us what belongs in your version of an adventure. A club or group of friends may have a particular interest; someone travelling on their own may be looking for like-minded company.

We will set out the itinerary, group arrangements, inclusions, price and booking terms before asking anyone to commit. For now, the poll simply helps us listen.

Bring an idea to the table

Another destination? A group with a shared enthusiasm? Say hello and tell us what you have in mind. You do not need a finished plan.
